Robotic Prostatectomy

Unmatched precision for prostate cancer treatment with nerve-sparing technology.

Advanced Prostate Removal

Robotic-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy is the gold standard surgical treatment for localized prostate cancer. By utilizing state-of-the-art robotic technology, we can remove the cancerous prostate gland with unparalleled precision, ensuring a higher chance of a cancer-free life while preserving vital functions.

What is Robotic Prostatectomy?

It is a minimally invasive surgery where the surgeon removes the entire prostate gland and surrounding lymph nodes through small "keyhole" incisions. The surgeon controls robotic arms equipped with specialized instruments and a high-definition 3D camera, providing a magnified view of the complex pelvic anatomy.

Why is it better than traditional open surgery?

Robotic surgery offers several major advantages over traditional open methods:

  • Significantly less blood loss: Reducing the need for blood transfusions.
  • Less post-operative pain: Due to tiny incisions instead of a large abdominal cut.
  • Shorter hospital stay: Most patients go home within 1 to 2 days.
  • Faster return to normal life: Recovery is measured in weeks, not months.
Will I maintain urinary and sexual functions?

Yes. One of the biggest advantages of robotic prostatectomy is the "Nerve-Sparing" technique. The robotic system's precision allows the surgeon to carefully peel away and preserve the delicate neurovascular bundles (nerves responsible for erections and urinary control) surrounding the prostate, leading to a much faster and better functional recovery.

What is the recovery process like?

Following the procedure, a urinary catheter will be placed to allow the new connection between the bladder and urethra to heal, which is usually removed after 7 to 10 days. Patients are encouraged to walk the day after surgery. Light activities can be resumed within a week, and full normal activities within 3 to 4 weeks.

Am I a candidate for this surgery?

Most men diagnosed with localized prostate cancer (cancer that has not spread outside the prostate gland) are excellent candidates. It may also be recommended for patients with a severely enlarged prostate (BPH) that cannot be treated with other methods.

Achieve cancer clearance without compromising your quality of life.
